After a pair of great races at Zandvoort it is Porsche 911 racer Erwin van Lieshout who scored the most points. He did so by winning his class twice and doing this in the most hotly contested class, GTS11. This gives him a narrow edge over the other double class winner, Jonathan Lewis in his Mini. Had Jonathan’s teammate Chris Middlehurst not broken his engine in practice and had our chairman Bert Mets not been ill, things would have been different! Third in the title race in these early stages is NK HTGT debutant (but very experienced racer) Roger Grouwels who is pedalling the (also very experienced) Iso Rivolta. With the Spa Summer Classic coming up at the end of the month there is good news for Erwin: Spa is a non-points scoring weekend so his championship lead is secure until we head to Assen in August! Full championship standings are HERE.
